Learn more about BLANCO Undermount Sinks
Under-mount, also known as bottom-mount, sinks are inserted into the worktop for an unobtrusive, seamless look. They do not have a lip or rim. The edge of the countertop material is exposed at the hole created for the sink, and the sink is clamped to the bottom of the material from below.
While pesky bits of grime and small food particles may become trapped in the sink’s lip, an undermount sink provides a solution to this common problem. Since there is no lip obstruction, you can simply sweep all leftover bits directly into the sink once you’re done cooking and cleaning. Hidden discreetly in the worktop, the sink’s sleek design also maximizes counter space. Whether you choose a SILGRANIT or stainless steel sink, each sink is easy to clean and easy to keep clean.
An undermount sink mounts directly to the bottom of the countertop, requiring strength from the countertop material in order to hold the sink securely in place. Therefore, some of the most compatible countertop materials are quartz, granite, marble, soapstone, and concrete.
Standard kitchen cabinets come in size increments of 3” (for example: 30”, 33”, 36”, etc.). You will want to measure the cabinet size of where the new sink will go, from left to right, and from outside edge to outside edge. In order to measure the depth of your countertop, consult your installer to ensure enough space is available for faucet fixtures and other accessories. Please consult our dimension guidelines for more information.
Your installation costs will vary depending on your location, plumbing requirements, and sink type. Generally, a BLANCO undermount kitchen sink can range in price depending on the size, style, and material you choose. Filter your preferences online to find your sink.
At BLANCO you’ll find several undermount sink materials, including non-porous SILGRANIT and long-lasting stainless steel. These sleek and easy-to-clean sink materials are perfect for modern kitchens. Please consult each product page for additional details.
The best countertop materials compatible with these sinks include marble, soapstone, concrete, and granite. The sink’s rim is concealed from view, since it is hidden underneath the countertop.
